Rob founded Landcare in 1992 with one truck and one lawnmower and today his award winning company employs more than 30 full time staff with divisions in Commercial and Residential Maintenance, Commercial and Residential Construction, Enhancements (small scale construction, urns, plantings etc.) and is now one of Toronto’s largest Snow Removal companies. Landcare services many of Toronto’s biggest landmarks, condominiums and businesses, while also providing GTA neighbourhoods with landscaping design and construction. Rob continuously upgrades his education and is certified in Storm Water Run off design/maintenance, has his Green Roof Professional Accreditation and his Landscape Industry Certified Manager designation. He has a business degree from Bishop’s University in Sherbrooke, Quebec and is an avid skier and fisherman.

I am the operations manager for Landcare. I specialize in team building and leadership to increase the efficiency in our company. I’m involved in the day to day operations, scheduling, productions, maintenance, fleet, and health and safety. I am a true believer in leading by example to maintain a fantastic working environment.

In my free time, I enjoy organizing community events such as golf tournaments. I play all sort of league sports such as basketball, football, and baseball.

Joseph Van Landschoot believes in the power of positive business growth that brings everyone up. He graduated from Sheridan and Mohawk College with a diploma in Media Studies and Creative Writing respectively.

Joseph began work with Landcare as a crew leader at the start of 2023 and worked under the enhancements and maintenance departments throughout the spring, summer and autumn seasons. He is learned in marketing and program application and its use within the advertising business sector. He is experienced in video editing and article writing.

Julianna graduated with an honour’s degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Guelph in 2022.  She believes nature holds the power to enhance people’s lives even in the core of the busiest cities. In her position as Junior Designer, she strives to look at what exists now in the landscape while also visualizing what can be.  When not in the office, she can be found playing soccer or exploring Ontario’s many hiking trails.

Zandra joined Landcare in 2021. Most of the year Zandra is focused on project management. Her experience in the field and extensive knowledge of plants gives Zandra a strong understanding of the many key elements of landscaping and she is keenly aware of client needs. Zandra believes that a property shouldn’t just look better than when Landcare arrives, but approach each job with the intention to exceed property owners/managers’ expectations. During the winter, Zandra acts as a Winter Supervisor and oversees all aspects of snow removal including customer satisfaction.

Wanda believes that creating strong relationships with our clients and teams is the way to deliver great service! She is a great mentor and trainer for our field teams. Wanda has worked in the Landscape industry for over 25 years providing quality maintenance, soft-scapes and planting. In her career she has risen from Landscape Crew Member all the way to Maintenance Manager. She also worked for 2 years at a Garden Centre as Supervisor and Sales Rep. Wanda worked with Landcare from 2010-2013 as a crew leader and then a Maintenance Supervisor, before a move out West. After several years living in Alberta, Wanda returned to Ontario and re-joined Landcare in 2022.

Nel is an accounting professional for 10 years with most of his work experience in auditing and finance. He bridges the company, clients, and vendors in a financial aspect.
He likes talking to clients on their thoughts about the job. With all the seriousness that comes with the job, he brings fun and balance in the work environment. Nel loves to connect to people in every level of the company.

When he is not dealing with company numbers, he is a very big video gamer and food fanatic. He is always open to try new stuff if it doesn’t have sprouted beans 😊

Markus is an Landscape Industry Certified Technician, Certified Landscape-Horticulturalist, and Certified Installer with the Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute, with over 25 years experience in the Landscape industry delivering innovative designs and quality workmanship! In 2019, he earned Landcare a Landscape Ontario Award of Excellence in the landscape construction category for one of his many creative design/build projects.

Markus has completed landscape design/build projects with companies in Australia, Alberta, and New Brunswick. He owned and operated a Landscape Design/Build firm for 8 years in Moncton, New Brunswick.  He was an active member of the Greater Moncton Chamber of Commerce, and New Brunswick Horticultural Trades Association, he now resides in Toronto.

Apart from being an accomplished landscape professional, he is also an accomplished cyclist; actively involved in the cycling community.

Laura came to Landcare in 2017. Prior to joining our team, Laura operated her own Toronto based landscape/gardening company for 15 years. She specializes in offering her clients designs that provide four seasons interest using evergreen definition and plantings with year round colour, texture and movement. Laura places quality customer care as a priority and works to make sure that the client is happy and their needs are met in a timely and professional manner. In her spare time, Laura enjoys beach walks with her dog, gardening, cycling and yoga.

Lana brings over 20 years of customer service experience to the table at Landcare. As part of her many roles, Lana oversees HR and is integral in attracting and maintaining Landcare’s roster of valued employees. Her dedication to building a team that works together and has a high degree of skills is integral to keeping a positive work environment, happy clients and high percentage of referrals. In addition to her ability to keep the office and staff operating smoothly, Lana is also an accomplished writer and communicator with an Editing Certification from George Brown.

Nadia Mahmood has been with Landcare since 2019. Nadia approaches her job with professionalism and organization. She not only writes contracts and provides invoicing, but also collects our accounts receivable. During long snow storms, Nadia is the person fielding client calls and communicating with drivers. Landcare is lucky to have Nadia as she is entirely capable to complete any task and does so with the highest regard for the company.

Ted, Rob’s younger brother, is an accomplished bookkeeper with 15 years experience servicing customers and clients. He has a background in finance and computer science and has been with the company since 2005. When he’s not handling accounts and making sure the business is running smoothly, Ted can be found on the golf course.
