Baby Point, Etobicoke

stonework, interlock, garden beds, garden design toronto, shed - Bloor West Village

This residential landscape design for our west end Toronto client included a beautiful stone and interlock pathway and steps that lead down to a backyard.  They required a custom built shed that would echo the tudor style of their gorgeous Toronto home.  Landcare was also hired for it’s ability to manage and to build a retaining wall that leads to a sensitive ravine area.  This required close consultation with Toronto city permits and working with environmental regulations/restrictions.  Materials used for hardscaping including the pathways, stairs and gardens was interlocking stone and large armour stone.  The gardens move from shade to sun as the pathway turns around the corner of the house. In the shade portion Dogwood, Hostas, Birch and Spirea soften the large stones and provide a traditional garden look appropriate to the properties style and existing gardens, while the sun portion includes Purple Cone Flower (Echinacea) and Creeping Juniper.  This property’s front yard is defined by cobblestone walkways and formal gardens enclosed by boxwood enclosed shade plants including Hostas.  The pathway to the front door is lined in trees, giving the property a formal appearance.
