Commercial Roof Top Construction Central Toronto
Landcare transforms this unremarkable Toronto rooftop into an urban oasis. Condo residents and Toronto architect Eddie Tisch hired Landcare’s Toronto, Ontario Commercial Landscape Division to construct a rooftop patio complete with dining area, arbor and full gardens. The tricky part was that getting decking and garden supplies up to the roof required a crane. Our crews worked in all weather and wind turning what started as a dreary average rooftop into an incredible landscape. Keeping the area clear of debris that could blow off the roof while building with the best practices so that the completed project could withstand the elements was key. The dining area allows for parties and social gatherings while being protected beneath the arbor with it’s weather sturdy canvas shelter. Large garden planters provide beauty and support to the arbor. The residents not only got a huge new space to gather and enjoy one another’s company, but they all got the best seats in town to enjoy Toronto’s urban landscape and/or vista from a high vantage point.
Garden planters required sun happy plants including Russian Sage. Other flowers cascade over the sides of the planters and climb up the arbor to really give this patio design lots of living colour.
